“Today I attended a special meeting of the House Judiciary Committee in Frankfort. I was there to offer support to Rachel Conley, the widow of Deputy Caleb Conley, as she testified in support of House Bill 5.

Among other aspects, House Bill 5 includes language that would better keep repeat violent offenders off our streets. These offenders must be accountable for their actions so that no family, nor community goes through what we did this past year.

I’m proud of Rachel for sharing her story with members of the committee. And I will continue to advocate for her, Caleb and all law enforcement families around the Commonwealth.”
